Prior to that, she completed her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College, medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, and pediatrics residency at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Akagbosu's long-term research interests involve studying the pathophysiology of obesity, with a focus on discerning the molecular mechanisms that regulate obesity such as the gut microbiome.
