Allison Markowsky, MD, MSHS, is an attending physician within the Hospital Medicine Division at Children’s National Hospital and the associate chief for Community Hospital Medicine Programs. She holds an academic appointment as associate professor of Pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. She is also on the Executive Committee for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Hospital Medicine (SOHM). Her primary interests include quality/process improvement, evidence-based care and education with a focus on newborn care, professional billing and simulation education. She lives in Stafford, VA with her husband and three children and enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling.
