About the Provider
Alexandra Espinel, MD, is an assistant professor of pediatrics and otolaryngology at Children’s National Hospital and George Washington University. She is a graduate of the Children’s National Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship program. She currently serves as the director of the ACGME accredited Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Children’s National.
Dr. Espinel treats patients in all aspects of pediatric ENT with a special interest in treating children with masses of the head and neck and disorders of the salivary glands. She also sees patients for surgical management of oromotor and swallowing dysfunction.
Her research is focused on outcomes specifically related to adenotonsillectomy and tracheostomy. She is presently a member of the Practice Management and Education committee for the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery and Education committee for the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology.
