We offer X-ray, ultrasound and MR imaging. Our state-of-the-art-equipment includes:
- 3.0-Tesla MR system with the latest air coil technology capable of producing exceptional images quickly for neurological, body and musculoskeletal exams. Children can watch movies or listen to music in the safari-themed MR unit.
- LOGIQ E10 ultrasound unit with elastography software and radiant flow technology for color Doppler studies
- Two rooms with a versatile FUJI system unit for spine and long extremity imaging with 50% less radiation than grid exams
When sedation is required, experienced Children's National anesthesiologists and nurses ensure the safest care. All studies are overseen and interpreted by board-certified radiologists.

- Walk-in appointments for X-ray and ultrasound can be accommodated in most cases depending on insurance authorization. Please call ahead to schedule MRIs.
The on-site lab at Children’s National Prince George’s County aims to streamline care for patients and families. With pediatric trained phlebotomists on site as well as a processing lab, we can conduct blood draws and other lab work the same day as patients’ appointments, all in one convenient location. Services offered by walk-in only; appointments are not available.
