Vanessa Bundy, M.D., Ph.D., is an immunologist at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. She recently joined Children’s National from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she completed fellowship training and was a clinical instructor. 

At UCLA, her research focused on hematopoietic stem cells. For this, she received numerous awards, including the Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research clinical fellowship training award, an NIH T32 training award in medical genetics, the ACAAI Clemens von Pirquet Award and the AAAAI Basic and Clinical Immunology interest section award. 

Dr. Bundy joins Children’s National as an Assistant Professor in the Allergy and Immunology Division. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Clinical Immunology Society. Her clinical interests focus on the diagnosis and treatment of recurrent infections and primary immune deficiency. 

She is also a co-investigator of a Children’s National and NIH collaborative clinical research study to better define both well-known and newly discovered primary immunodeficiency disorders.
