Maryna Kapichyna, PA-C, MPAS, is a board-certified physician assistant in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Children’s National Hospital. Her practice focuses on providing high-quality care for adolescents (age 12-21) with eating disorders, including inpatient treatment and outpatient consults. She was graduated from Towson University and received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies Degree along with “Faculty Achievement Award.”
Six years ago, she immigrated from Ukraine, where she had been working as a pediatrician and child/adolescent gastroenterologist for 18 years. She graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University in 1996 and successfully finished a residency at First Children’s Hospital in Kyiv.
She is a strong community advocate for children and adolescent healthcare who focuses on a long-term relationship with her patients and their families, providing comprehensive medical care and wellness/health risk education. She speaks English, Ukrainian and Russian and is a co-author of several articles published in Ukraine.
She has a particular interest in caring for medically complex adolescents with eating disorders.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and reading; she likes swimming, hiking and playing tennis.
