Linda Herbert, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Division of Psychology and Behavioral Health at Children's National Hospital. Dr. Herbert is the director of the Psychosocial Services Program for the Division of Allergy and Immunology, overseeing all psychotherapy services for patients with food allergy and psychosocial research projects.
Dr. Herbert is an NIH-funded clinical researcher, whose research interests include the identification of medical and psychosocial factors related to adjustment to pediatric food allergies, the development of clinical interventions that support anxiety management and adherence to food allergy guidelines, and the implementation of mental health screening in tertiary medical clinics. Dr. Herbert regularly presents at national research conferences and child health community events for FARE and other food allergy organizations.
Her research includes work in Children's National Center for Translational Research and the Center for Cancer and Immunology Research.
