Lawrence J. D’Angelo, M.D., M.P.H., received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his Doctorate from Duke University. His master's degree in public health was earned at Harvard University, as well. Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., was the site for both his residency and internship. He also did a residency in Preventive Medicine at the Centers for Disease Control. Dr. D’Angelo holds a position as a tenured professor of Medicine, Health Care Sciences, Prevention and Community Health, and Epidemiology at the George Washington University.
Dr. D’Angelo has worked on numerous publications informing medical practitioners and patients on infectious diseases, eating disorders and other health risks. He was honored by the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine with their most prestigious award–the 2018 Outstanding Achievement in Adolescent Health and Medicine–acknowledging his career-long dedication to adolescents and adolescent health care.
