Heather C. de Beaufort, M.D., graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. She then completed her Ophthalmology residency at the combined program of New York University and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. She completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Children’s National Hospital and because of her wonderful experience was happy to continue her career as an attending at Children’s National. She now serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at George Washington University, while caring for patients at Children's National.
Dr. de Beaufort’s particular pediatric ophthalmology interests include strabismus, ptosis, and cataracts. She has participated in the annual ophthalmology surgical mission trip to the Dominican Republic and looks forward to future international medical mission work.
