Debra Regier, M.D., Ph.D., joined Children's National Hospital in 2015. She earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Wake Forest University in 2000, performed a postdoctoral fellowship in cancer genetics, and completed medical school at the University of Utah in 2009. She completed her medical genetics training and medical biochemical fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Regier is the director of genetics education within the Division of Genetics and Metabolism and serves as the PI for the Rare Disease Scholar’s Program.
