Celina Brunson, M.D., completed medical school training at State University of New York–Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Brunson was then accepted into the pediatric residency program at New York University, completing that training in 2016. She completed pediatric nephrology training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pa., in 2019.
Dr. Brunson now serves as medical director of the Dialysis Program and is an attending physician in pediatric nephrology at Children's National. Her research interests focus on health disparities and social determinants of health for children with chronic kidney disease and end stage renal disease. Her clinical interests include hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and nephrotic syndrome.
