Amaziah Coleman, M.D., graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, having earned a bachelor's of science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She completed an internship and residency in general pediatrics at the University of Arkansas College of Medicine. Dr. Coleman was an Allergy and Immunology Fellow with the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.

A native of southern Mississippi, hence her occasional southern drawl, Dr. Coleman’s professional interests include childhood health disparities in asthma and food allergies, particularly in minority populations. She is the face of the Children's National Hospital minority community initiative. In Dr. Coleman's spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, writing and spending time with family.
