Aaron Krill, M.D., joined the Urology program at Children’s National Hospital in January 2016. Prior to joining Children’s National, Dr. Krill served as Director of Pediatric Urology and Assistant Professor of Surgical Urology at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He also served on staff at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. Krill graduated from Truman State University and earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. He completed his Urology residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and developed interests in minimally invasive and robotic surgery as well as in pediatric urology. He completed a clinical and research fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York.
Dr. Krill’s training emphasized traditional open surgery, as well as laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He considers it his mission to apply minimally invasive and robotic techniques whenever possible to improve outcomes and decrease morbidity in pediatric reconstructive urologic surgery. Dr. Krill’s areas of research interest include adolescent varicoceles, antenatal hydronephrosis, congenital solitary kidneys and ureteroceles. Dr. Krill practices at the main campus in Washington, D.C., as well as at Children's National Montgomery County in Rockville, Md.
