Second Annual Pediatric Surgical Innovation Symposium

The Second Annual Pediatric Surgical Innovation Symposium brought together a diverse group of experts representing multiple disciplines (life sciences, medicine, engineering, law, and regulatory affairs) and sectors (industry, government, academia, and advocacy). Highlights of this year’s Symposium included a keynote address from FDA Commissioner Margaret A. Hamburg and a competition (‘Make Your Medical Device Pitch for Kids!’) featuring eight contestants narrowed from a pool of more than 56 applicants, and judged by a panel that awarded two of the groups grand prizes totaling $100,000.
