Improving the well-being and professional fulfillment of health care providers at CNMC
Drs. Sharma and Corriveau discuss how health care provider wellness and engagement can be improved, and the potential individual and organizational interventions.
The health and well-being of health care providers is inextricably linked to optimum clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. There is ample evidence that unpresented stress on the U.S. health care system has resulted in alarming levels of health care provider burnout nationally both in medical trainees and provider staff. Health care provider wellness and engagement can be improved; the evidence supports that both individual and organizational interventions can make a difference.
