Esophageal reconstruction in children: A multidisciplinary approach

This Grand Rounds presentation will describe the multidisciplinary team approach to the treatment of complex esophageal and airway problems in children. A team approach involving surgical subspecialists and medical subspecialists provides for coordinated care of these complex patients. By working together, the spectrum of treatment options can be offered by bringing the perspectives and expertise of multiple providers to bear on the often unique challenges of each individual patient. The presentation will provide insights on the infrastructure in place in Cincinnati’s Aerodigestive and Esophageal Center, describe the techniques employed and outcomes obtained. (11-6-19)
