Communities are becoming more and more diverse. Our colleagues and those we serve in our places of employment mirror those communities. It is important that we are equipped to respectfully interact with people from backgrounds that differ from our own and providing culturally sensitive care is necessary when serving people in their most vulnerable state – dealing with the illness of their loved one(s).
