Assessing HIV care delivery in the nation's capital
The goal of this Grand Rounds presentation is to describe the epidemiology of HIV in Washington, D.C., including the prevalence, populations most affected and the HIV care continuum. George Washington University associate professor Amanda D. Castel, M.D., M.P.H, AAHIVS, describes efforts to curtail and monitor the epidemic through collaborations with the local health department, clinicians, community and researchers. Finally, she describes how the D.C. Cohort will be used to monitor HIV care delivery in Washington, D.C.
