For our team, Connor's sports injury was no match.
Meet Connor, up-and-coming tennis champ and former brain surgery patient at Children’s National. A few years ago, Connor’s health was unexpectedly placed in danger when a simple game of catch ended in a baseball striking him just above his left eyebrow. After diagnosis at another hospital, Connor was immediately rushed to Children’s National with an epidural hematoma—a traumatic injury where blood pools and applies pressure against the brain. It was an emergency situation, and Children’s National was ready with specialists in brain trauma who were prepared to operate at a moment’s notice.
