May 10, 2018
WASHINGTON–Children’s National Health System has been named to the 2018 Becker’s Healthcare list of “100 great hospitals in America” for the third consecutive year. Children’s National is one of 11 pediatric hospitals named to this year’s list, which features hospitals that have been recognized nationally for excellence in clinical care, patient outcomes and staff member and physician satisfaction.

“It‘s an incredible honor to be named to the list for the third year in a row along with so many other prestigious hospitals and health systems from across the country,” says Kurt Newman, M.D., president and CEO of Children’s National. “This a testament to the excellent work provided by our entire care team and to their dedication to delivering the highest quality health care to children.”
The Becker’s editorial team chooses hospitals like Children’s National, based on their rankings and awards from other reputable sources. One of the top seven pediatric hospitals in NIH funding, Children’s National also was named to the 2017-18 U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals Honor Roll and the Neonatology program was ranked #1 out of more than 1500 neonatal intensive care units coast to coast.
In addition, Children’s National was named a 2017 Leapfrog Group Top Hospital, is a two time Magnet® designated hospital and is recognized for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
