Children’s National Hospital offers the only multidisciplinary reproductive endocrine program for young children and adolescents in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. The Reproductive Endocrine Clinic ensures easy access to specialists in both pediatric gynecology and endocrinology in a single visit, facilitating the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions. The complex clinic is coordinated by an endocrinologist, an obstetrician/gynecologist with expertise in pediatric gynecology, a psychologist and a nutritionist.

We provide sensitive and individual care for conditions including:

  • Pre-pubertal vaginal bleeding
  • Absence of menses
  • Abnormal menstrual bleeding
  • Polycystic ovarian syndrome
  • Primary ovarian insufficiency
  • Congenital abnormalities of the genital organs
