Terry Kind, MD, MPH, is a pediatrician for Children's National Hospital at Anacostia, a community-based health center in Southeast Washington, D.C. She currently serves as the Associate Dean for Clinical Education and is a pediatric professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.  Dr. Kind was the Director of Pediatrics Medical Student Education from 2008-2015. She is a graduate of GW's Master Teacher Leadership Development Program and is an inaugural member of the Children's Academy of Pediatric Educators.  

As a leader in pediatric medical education, Dr Kind was inducted into as the National Academy of Distinguished Educators in Pediatrics in 2020. Dr Kind was a Qualitative Research special interest group national co-chair for the Academic Pediatric Association from 2016-2020 and was elected to serve on COMSEP's national executive committee from 2016-2019. Dr. Kind was a founding member and former medical director of the Metropolitan D.C. Reach Out and Read Coalition. She has been a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2002, previously served on the editorial board of PediaLink, and participates in maintenance of certification in pediatrics.
