Hahn Laboratory

About the Lab

The Hahn Laboratory’s focus is understanding the impact of antimicrobial pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) during treatment of pulmonary exacerbations in persons with cystic fibrosis, specifically on changes within the airway microbiome. We are studying microbial taxonomic diversity and functional diversity, including the impact of antimicrobial resistance. Our work published to date has revealed beta-lactam PK/PD to be an important contributor to recovery of microbial diversity after antibiotic treatment.
