Children’s National Hospital is dedicated to creating cellular therapy treatments for our patients. These treatments are made in the Cellular Therapy Laboratory (CTL) which is accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) for minimal and more-than-minimal manipulation and audited annually to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

The Cellular Therapy Laboratory is led by Patrick Hanley, Ph.D., the laboratory facility director, who serves on the board of directors of the Foundation for the Accreditation for Cellular Therapy (FACT) and chairs the Immuno & Gene Therapy Committee of the International Society of Cell & Gene Therapy. Also, Allistair Abraham, M.D., Catherine Bollard, M.D. M.B.Ch.B., and Jennifer Webb, M.D., serve as medical directors for CTL.
