Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee
The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) oversees Children’s National Research Institute programs, facilities and projects involving the use of animals. The IACUC serves as the review and oversight body for all protocols involving animals, and assists faculty, trainees and staff in upholding organizational commitment to treat animals in a humane way according to the highest ethical and scientific standards.
Children’s National and the Children’s National Research Institute are committed to conducting and promoting scientifically and ethically sound and humane research with animals. The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) administration office provides regulatory and administrative support for the committee and Children’s National researchers.
