Our fellowship is being offered to eligible “rising senior” nursing students from an accredited nursing program. It is imperative before applying to this program to ensure your ability to attend the ten-week programin its entirety.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- In good academic standing
All applicants will be required to submit a detailed essay demonstrating the applicant’s strong desire to practice in the pediatric oncology setting. Patient and family-centered care are core values at Children’s National, in addition to care, advocacy, research and education. Applicants are encouraged to review our website as they prepare to write their essay.
Additionally all applicants will be required to:
- Submit a current copy of your curriculum vitae (CV)
- Submit the following supplemental items:
- Pediatric oncology essay (Why pediatric oncology, why me?)
- Official school transcript
- Two letters of recommendation
All application must be submitted electronically. Applications must be submitted in its entirety. We recommend having all documents ready prior to starting the electronic application process. The complete application form and packet must be received no later than January 31, 2020. Successful candidates will be notified no later than March 31, 2020.
