Coronavirus Update:What patients and families need to know
This 12– to 14–week paid summer internship includes a four-day orientation, additional clinical orientation to an assigned unit and the opportunity to work closely with a nurse manager, preceptor and supervisor. As a Leading the Advancement of Undergraduate Nurses at Children’s National (LAUNCH) Nurse Trainee, you will experience what it really is like to be a pediatric nurse and you will be able to complete all the tasks a certified nursing assistant may perform. For 2021, the program will have two start dates: May 17 and June 1.
The application for the 2021 LAUNCH Nurse Trainee Program will be posted Nov. 2 – Dec. 4, 2020. Please note the application is posted under the job field category of Internship/Trainee. Applications are only accepted through this posting, and all applications will be reviewed by the Nurse Recruitment Team.
All applications should include:
- Completed application
- Cover letter

Candidates selected for further evaluation will undergo a telephone interview with a member of the Nurse Recruitment Team.
