Fourth Year Visiting Medical Student Electives Program

Children’s National Health System is the pediatric partner for the George Washington University Medical School (GWUMS) in Washington, D.C. We offer over 30 electives in a wide variety of disciplines including four Acting Internships (Sub-Internships). Fourth Year International Medical Student Electives Program

International students may inquire about electives through our Office of International Medicine Programs. We have exchange contracts and/or affiliation agreements with a limited number of international Medical Schools. Please read on for contact information or to learn more.

Minority Senior Scholarship Program

The goal of the program at Children's National is to expose medical students to academic pediatrics and the many educational opportunities our institution has to offer through a one-month rotation with a variety of experiences.

Healthcare Education

Education is itself a specialty at Children's National. Through internships, residency, fellowships, graduate medical education, and continuing medical education, we are teaching the next generation of doctors and nurses.
