Ashika, a recent graduate of the George Washington University, contributes to the molecular studies in the lab. She quantifies the gene expression of calcium handing, phosphorylation and cardiac hypertrophy/structural markers from neonatal rat cardiomyocytes and heart tissue samples. Ashika also contributes to live cardiomyocyte calcium imaging studies performed in the lab.
