Terry Kind, M.D., M.P.H., is a pediatrician for Children's National Hospital at Anacostia, a community-based health center in Southeast Washington, D.C. She also serves as the Associate Dean for Clinical Education and as a pediatrics professor at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Kind served as the Director of Pediatrics Medical Student Education 2008-2015. She also serves as a professional development mentor and co-directs the Behavior and Development theme.
Dr. Kind was a founding member and former medical director of the Metropolitan D.C. Reach Out and Read Coalition. She is board certified in pediatrics, has been a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) since 2002 and previously served on the editorial board of PediaLink.
Dr. Kind's professional interests include medical education, reflective practice, lifelong learning, social media and professionalism. She also is the editor of the In The Moment narrative section of the journal, Academic Pediatrics.
