Adora Lin, M.D., Ph.D., research focuses on the regulation of B cells and immunoglobulin production during the development of food allergy and tolerance to foods. She also investigates regulatory B cells in healthy and allergic children. Dr. Lin's primary goal is to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the development of food allergy vs. tolerance and to leverage these findings toward improved diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of food allergy.
Dr. Lin is under the mentorship of Dr. Catherine Bollard at Children's National and Dr. Pamela Guerrerio at the National Institutes of Health. She was awarded a Faculty Development Award from the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology for promising junior faculty. Dr. Lin also serves as Co-Lead for the Allergy projects within the Children's National-National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) partnership.
