Ellen ‘Ellie’ Hamburger, M.D., received a bachelor of arts in urban studies and medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hamburger completed a pediatric residency at Children’s National Hospital in 1984. She cares for children from birth through adolescence with a particular interest in children with special needs and premature infants.
Dr. Hamburger has been active in medical education throughout her career in the U.S. and Africa. She is a graduate of the first Master Teacher class for clinician educators at the George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development. She has been a senior partner with Children’s National Pediatricians & Associates (CNPA) since 2002 and serves on the Board of CNPA. Dr. Hamburger has served as Medical Director for CNPA since 2016.
