About the Provider
Benjamin Siegel, MD, grew up in Atlanta, GA. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience and psychology. Dr. Siegel returned to Atlanta to attend medical school at Emory University School of Medicine, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honors medical society. He completed his child neurology residency at Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, followed by a pediatric neuro-oncology fellowship at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. He is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University and an attending neurologist and neuro-oncologist in the Children’s National Brain Tumor and Gilbert Family Neurofibromatosis Institutes. Dr. Siegel’s clinical and research focus is on children with neurofibromatosis and tumors of the central and peripheral nervous system. He is the clinical co-director of the Gilbert Neurofibromatosis Institute and is involved in the Neurofibromatosis Clinical Trials Consortium. Outside of work, Dr. Siegel enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, cycling, cooking and reading.
