The division of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging provides imaging services to many of Children’s patients. A large percentage of our patients require sedation with and without anesthesia support, therefore the nursing staff engages in patient safety and monitoring. The nurses spend hours on the phone preparing families for sedated scheduled exams, answering questions to ensure a positive visit, and placing follow-up calls to check the status of patients.
