High-risk newborns with hypoplastic left heart syndrome benefit from hybrid approaches
A multi-disciplinary team led by Can Yerebakan, M.D., and Joshua Kanter, M.D., use a hybrid surgical approach to give fragile infants with hypoplastic left heart syndrome more time to grow and develop before more invasive surgery is needed. The team performs more of these hybrid procedures for neonates than most other places in the United States.
