Pathophysiologic-based transcatheter management of post-operative patients with Tetralogy of Fallot
Garbose Lecture - Pathophysiologic Based Transcatheter Management of the Post-Operative Patient with Tetralogy of Fallot
Presented by
William Eugene Hellenbrand, MD
Former Chief of Cardiology and Director of Cardiac Catheterization,
Yale School of Medicine and Columbia University
With an international reputation as a leader in the field of congenital cardiac catheterization, Dr. Hellenbrand will present data on new innovative approaches using tissue engineered valves in the treatment of post-operative Tetralogy of Fallot patients. Dr. Hellenbrand has designed and developed multiple catheter-based interventions for septal defects and pulmonary arteries over the span of his career.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees of this session will be able to:
- Categorize the pathophysiologic states of post repair of Tetralogy of Fallot
- Summarize transcatheter therapies available for these patients
- Appraise novel therapies on the horizon
