Fixing Baby Jane's Broken Heart

A Virginia mother was shocked when a routine ultrasound revealed her baby's congenital heart defect. Facing the diagnosis of Tetralogy of Fallot, she and her husband turned to the experts at Children's National Hospital. Mary Donofrio, M.D., medical director of the Prenatal Cardiology Program, and Can Yerebakan, M.D., Ph.D., associate chief of Cardiac Surgery, assembled an expert team to help this family on their journey from diagnosis to heart surgery and life beyond.
