First Lady Mrs. Trump visits patients, families and staff at Children’s National Hospital

On December 6, First Lady Mrs. Trump visited patients, families and staff members at Children's National Hospital to spread holiday cheer. Joined by Santa and Mrs. Claus and two patient escorts, the First Lady read a Christmas story, "Oliver The Ornament Meets Belle" authored by Todd Zimmermann, who also sat by her side during the reading. First Lady visits to Children's National are a tradition dating back to Bess Truman, who stopped by to see families who weren't able to spend their holidays at home
