Quinoa: A Naturally Gluten-Free Superfood
Quinoa is a naturally gluten-free superfood that contains all nine essential amino acids. Technically it is a seed that is eaten like a grain and it comes in a variety of different colors like red, white and black. Although quinoa has been consumed for thousands of years in South America, it is only recently that this protein-rich food became popular in the United States. We like to use whole quinoa as a replacement for rice and quinoa flour in baked goods.
