Electronic Health Record Network
The Pediatric Health NetworkIQ (PHNIQ), formerly the Children's IQ Network, is a health information exchange specifically designed for pediatrics. This electronic health records (EHR) network includes over 60 regional practices that represent over 50 percent of the community pediatricians in the Washington metropolitan area.
The network links essential health information, such as physician visits, medications, allergies, problems, laboratory results and immunization histories for children throughout the region. Network providers are actively involved in population health by sharing pertinent patient clinical information via health information exchanges and data extraction from individual electronic health records. Members agree to share essential health care data within the larger region and participate in quality initiatives. Participating providers receive a significant subsidization to the costs of a highly-rated EHR.
