Pharmacy Residency Programs

Pharmacy Residency PGY-1

The purpose of the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Children’s National Hospital is to provide learning experiences centered on patient care and practice management that will enable residency graduates to pursue a PGY2 or a clinical pharmacist position in pediatrics after completion of the program. The residency program will also provide teaching opportunities and a required teaching certificate that will also develop pedagogical skills in the context of adjunct faculty appointment with affiliated pharmacy schools.

Pharmacy Residency PGY-2

The purpose of the PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at Children’s National Hospital is to provide learning experiences centered on patient care and practice management that will enable residency graduates to pursue advanced clinical pharmacist and clinical specialist positions in pediatrics after completion of the program. The residency program will also provide teaching opportunities and optional teaching certificate that will develop pedagogical skills in the context of adjunct faculty appointment with affiliated pharmacy schools.

Oncology Pharmacy Residency PGY-2

The purpose of the PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Children’s National Hospital is to provide learning experiences centered on patient care and practice management that will enable residency graduates to pursue advanced clinical pharmacist and clinical specialist positions in Oncology after completion of the program. The residency program will also provide teaching opportunities and optional teaching certificate that will develop pedagogical skills in the context of adjunct faculty appointment with affiliated pharmacy schools.
