Our residents are provided with the knowledge, skills, motivation and mentorship guidance to pursue a wide variety of career choices. Approximately half of our graduates enter into subspecialty fellowships immediately after residency or one year after graduation. The most popular subspecialties are Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Cardiology. The remaining residents join primary care practices, become pediatric hospitalists, work as emergency room associates, travel abroad to serve other populations experiencing material poverty or pursue other careers in public health and information technology.
