Coronavirus Update:What patients and families need to know
Pediatric Pain Fellowship
The George Washington and Children's National Hospital Pediatric Pain Medicine Fellowship is an ACGME-accredited program, that offers six dedicated months of pediatric pain medicine at Children's National Hospital and six months of practice split between GW and the DC Veteran's Affairs Hospitals and clinics. Completion of the fellowship affords eligibility for the ABA and ABPMR board certification in Pain Medicine.
Fellows will be assigned to Children's National for six months of pediatric pain medicine practice in the Children's National Pediatric Pain Clinic, caring for both in-patient and out-patient patients. Other experiences will include child neurology headache clinic, acute pain medicine and acupuncture. One month of elective time is afforded to the pediatric pain-focused fellow.
The fellows accepted to the fellowship are individuals with a strong interest in the academic practice of pediatric pain medicine (and pediatric anesthesia when applicable).
We are looking for candidates who share our passion for pediatric chronic pain and are determined to make the practice of pediatric chronic pain a significant part of their career. Fellows will be prepared for independent practice following graduation. In addition to clinical experience, robust didactics provide the requisite knowledge to inform cutting edge clinical practice.
