Up to four new fellows will be hired each year depending upon qualifications.
All fellowships start on July 1st.
This fellowship is designed to foster innovation. While an M.D. or a Ph.D. is preferred, candidates with any graduate degree may be considered if applicants demonstrate a commitment to advancing pediatric surgical and medical device innovation.
For M.D. candidates, compensation will be at the level of PGY7 to 8 surgical trainees. For non-M.D. candidates compensation will commensurate with their education and experience.
Non-U.S. citizens may apply, but their participation will be contingent on their ability to qualify for a visa.
Fellows do have some influence on the projects they work on. To gain the full spectrum of knowledge about medical innovation, fellows will also contribute to several ongoing Institute projects during the course of the fellowship.
