Susan D. Flynn Oncology Nursing Fellowship Program

The Susan D. Flynn Oncology Nursing Fellowship Program is designed to help stimulate the career interest and foster the professional development of potential oncology nurses. The purpose of the fellowship is to provide aspiring nurses with comprehensive clinical exposure to oncology nursing and to "best practices" in compassionate care. Fellows will have opportunities to attend various pertinent internal educational programs and meetings with key hospital staff members to provide an additional learning experience. Although the fellowship typically focuses on adult oncology patient care, our goal at Children’s National Hospital is to provide aspiring pediatric oncology nurses with a meaningful internship in this very specialized field.
