It’s not enough to treat a sports injury. We must help student athletes stay strong.

Young athletes in the Washington, D.C., area need expert care to keep them in the game. But even minor injuries can derail their dreams.

Children's National Hospital is excited to announce a generous $5 million gift from Fight For Children, Inc. to launch a leading-edge pediatric program for student athletes: the Fight For Children Sports Medicine Center. Here, we will harness the power of community, sports and resilience to keep kids moving on the field, in the classroom and into their futures.

  • Community Outreach and Education
  • Pediatric and Adolescent Specific Rehabilitation
  • Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention
  • Research

At Children’s National, we know that kids are not just small adults. These pillars will change how we nurture and care for student athletes. Here, kids will find the place to recover, build skills and be their own champions.
