Get Involved

Support children. You decide how.

Make a gift, join an event, volunteer, or give blood. How will you support children and families in our community?

There are several ways you can show your support for children and families. Contributing your time, resources, and enthusiasm can make a difference in the lives of children in our community, across the country, and around the world. Whatever choice you make, our physicians, nurses, staff, and the families we serve are deeply grateful for your support.

Give Today

Through the support of generous donors like you, Children's National is able to ensure that every child in our area can receive the same level of care — regardless of their family's ability to pay.

Events

Do you want to have fun while helping kids? Join one of Children’s National signature events to help raise critical funds for the organization or host your own event in the community! Together, our signature and community events raise more than $7 million annually for Children’s National. Find out how you can help!

Create a Personal Fundraising Page

Do you have a special occasion to celebrate or a loved one that you'd like to honor? Here's where you can create a fundraising page, and encourage your friends and family to support kids in the hospital in you or your loved ones' name.

Families Giving Back

Building a community of grateful families.

Donate Items

Children's National accepts books, toys, clothing, gift cards, and other non-medical items for our Dr. Bear's Closet. These donations are given to patients and family members during their hospital visit to provide comfort, offer distractions, and to normalize the hospital setting.

Donate Blood

Did you know that some children with certain medical conditions, such as sickle cell anemia, need one to 10 units of blood per month or that one unit of blood can be used for as many as four of five children? The Blood Donor Center collects thousands of blood donations every year and provides essential services for Children's National patients. Learn how you can donate blood today!

Donate Your Birthday

Share your birthday with a child. Celebrate your life, and give a chance to someone who desperately wants to have as many as you.

Volunteer

It takes only a small amount of time to make a big difference in a child’s life.
