Our patients may miss out on enjoying holiday traditions at home with their families. Grandma’s special pie will have to wait till next year.

Our patients may miss out on time spent with friends and classmates participating in fun holiday activities like school performances, neighborhood parties or ice-skating trips.

Our patients may be wondering if Santa will find Children’s National? How will I celebrate the Festival of Lights in the hospital? Can my mom or dad still bring presents?

Children’s National staff bring holiday joy to the hospital in special ways like decorating nursing stations, wearing holiday accessories and singing holiday songs while drawing blood. It’s not always easy.
