Ariana's Family Thankful for Treatment Options That Changed Her Life

Sunday, January 24, 2016

Ariana was 6 years old when she was diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer, Wilms’ Tumor. Today, Ariana is a thriving 8-year-old with an infectious smile and a love for painting, thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Dome, chief of the divisions of oncology and hematology at Children’s National. He is an expert in Wilms’ Tumor, and the data that he and his team of researchers has gathered has removed the mystery surrounding how children like Ariana will respond to treatment options. On Feb. 20, our signature pediatric cancer fundraiser, the Heroes Curing Childhood Cancer Gala, will raise funds to improve cancer care and research.
