The award recognizes the Goldbergs’ dedication to children and families in the Washington area and around the world. For more than eight years, the Heroes Curing Childhood Cancer gala has raised vital funds for pediatric cancer patient care and research at Children's National. On Feb. 20, the fellowship and tenacious spirit of the patient families, doctors, nurses, and supporters of the gala did not disappoint, and banded together to raise $850,000 for kids battling cancer at Children’s National.
